Sacramento Republic of the USL Championship announced Tuesday morning that their long-planned soccer-specific stadium will seat more than 20,000 fans. The club first broke ground on the stadium in August 2025, but did not commit to an exact capacity. Their new stadium comes amid a wave of new arenas being built by USL Championship clubs ahead of a planned Division 1 league.
USL Championship side Sacramento Republic have signed former Houston Dynamo and Sporting Kansas City midfielder Memo Rodriguez, sources told GOAL. The Texan midfielder will pen a two year deal with the USL giants, who finished second in the Western Conference last season. It continues a busy winter for Sacramento, following the signing of Canada's Mark-Anthony Kaye.
