Ajax have been forced to relocate their crucial European play-off semi-final to FC Volendam's modest Kras Stadion due to a clashing Harry Styles concert series at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The Eredivisie fixture between Ajax and Groningen was abandoned in the sixth minute, after an ultras group set off hundreds of fireworks in honour of a recently deceased supporter. Referee Bas Nijhuis initially suspended play for half an hour before abandoning the game entirely as the pyrotechnic display continued after both teams retook the field.
Wrexham's final pre-season friendly ended in a 3-1 defeat against Dutch side Groningen, following on from an earlier 1-0 loss against the same club behind closed doors.
