Cheuko has worked with Argentine GOAT Messi at Paris Saint-Germain and in the United States. He followed the South American superstar to MLS in the summer of 2023. His considerable presence could often be spotted prowling the touchline.

It was Cheuko’s job to ensure that no starry-eyed supporters got too close to Messi - with many of those taking to invading the field of play. It was left in the hands of security personnel to get any unwelcome guests off the pitch as quickly as possible.

Cheuko is said to have been banned from the sidelines since figuring prominently in the early stages of Messi’s career in Miami, but he remains on hand to offer assistance to the former Barcelona forward and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo.

The professional bodyguard has highlighted his commitment to the Messi family by stating on a regular basis that he is prepared to fight YouTube sensation and WWE superstar Logan Paul - after seeing his client caught up in a legal battle between PRIME and Mas+.

Paul jokingly challenged Messi to a boxing match at one stage, suggesting that any differences should be settled inside the ring, with Cheuko getting involved as a supposed $15 million (£11m) contract was drawn up.

Verbal sparring on the fight front has gone quiet for now, but Cheuko has been showcasing his football ability. Linking up with another YouTuber, former F2 freestyler Jeremy Lynch, Cheuko crashed an impressive right-footed volley into the top bins. His shirt quickly came off, with an epic celebration being delivered.

Messi - who is seeing a new contract mooted - will have been left suitably impressed. The all-time great has been in MVP-worthy form again for Inter Miami in 2025, registering 34 goals and posting more records, with the Herons having one more regular season game to take in before attention turns to the play-offs and a bid for ultimate MLS Cup glory.
