It was a busy summer on the outgoing front, too, as several big names waved goodbye to Emirates Stadium.
The biggest transfer sale by Arsenal was the departure of former England international Emile Smith Rowe, who joined Fulham in a deal worth up to £34 million ($43m) including add-ons after struggling for form and fitness in the last couple of seasons.
Aaron Ramsdale sealed a permanent move to Southampton in the final days of the window, while Eddie Nketiah joined Crystal Palace in a deal worth up to £30million ($39m).
Elsewhere, Mohamed Elneny departed for the Middle East, while Albert Sambi Lokonga, Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Nuno Tavares will spend next season away from north London once again, with the quartet seemingly part of the long-term future at the club.
Twenty-two-year-old goalkeeper Karl Hein has found a new loan destination for the 2024-25 season at Real Valladolid. Fabio Vieira has also secured a loan move to Porto.
Arsenal managed to generate significant funds, a feat they haven’t excelled at in recent years. By offloading Nketiah, Smith Rowe, and Ramsdale, they brought in over €80 million, giving them valuable financial flexibility for future transfer windows. While the club chose not to invest heavily in a striker, despite some fan demands, they still emerged as one of the success stories of this transfer window.
