Tottenham are in the midst of a difficult week after sacking manager Thomas Frank following a disappointing home defeat to Newcastle in the Premier League on Tuesday night. The result has left the club perilously close to the drop zone and on the hunt for a new manager. Spurs have also seen their injury crisis deepen with yet another first-team star facing a long spell out of action.

Thomas Frank has been sacked as manager of Tottenham after just eight months in charge of the north London club. The Dane leaves after overseeing a run of just two wins from Tottenham's last 17 games and with the team being dragged into a relegation scrap. Frank's departure comes as little surprise, and it has now been claimed that he angered Spurs players with his constant references to bitter rivals Arsenal.

Manchester United wonderkid JJ Gabriel has spoken out after being sent off while playing for the Under-18s against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.
