Jadon Sancho insists he is “not wasting any thoughts on a change” as transfer speculation begins to build around the Borussia Dortmund starlet.
Having emerged as one of the most exciting talents in European football, the teenage forward has seen his long-term future in Germany called into question.
Serie A giants Juventus are among those to have been linked with the 18-year-old winger who has enjoyed a meteoric rise since bidding farewell to Manchester City in 2017.
Sancho is now a senior England international and established performer in the Bundesliga, with those efforts seeing him tipped for the top and a big-money move away from Dortmund at some stage.
Such a switch forms no part of his immediate plans though, with the youngster telling Bild when quizzed on the transfer talk: “I'm not wasting any thoughts on a change.
“I owe a lot to BVB and I have a lot in mind with this team. I'm happy here and did not sign for so long for nothing.”
Sancho committed to a contract extension with Dortmund in October, with fresh terms set to take him through to 2022.
That deal is allowing him to focus on the present and a productive domestic season.
After 10 games of the 2018-19 campaign, Dortmund hold a four-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table, but their next test is set to see them play host to defending champions Bayern Munich.
Sancho added on that clash: “By giving everything and giving our fans full throttle, we know how strong the Bavarians are but we also know that can beat them if we have a good day, especially at home.
“We have respect for them but also a lot of self-confidence and we all stick together.”
Sancho will head into a meeting with Bayern having netted four times in his last six appearances, while he is also back in the England squad for upcoming meetings with the United States and Croatia.
