Sporting sign Luis Neto on a free


Sporting CP have signed Portuguese defender Luis Neto, according to O Jogo.

Neto will join the club this summer on a free transfer following the expiration of his deal with Zenit.

The defender has earned 19 caps for his national team.

Galaxy re-sign Feltscher


The LA Galaxy announced on Tuesday that the club has re-signed defender Rolf Feltscher.

Venezuelan international Feltscher joined the Galaxy and made 15 appearances last season, one which saw the club fail to make the playoffs in large part thanks to a leaky backline.

“We are pleased to have Rolf return to our backline,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “He brings depth, stability, and versatility to our defense and we look forward to his contributions to the LA Galaxy in the upcoming season.”

Parma sign Trabzonspor's Kucka


Juraj Kucka has signed with Parma, the Italian club announced on Tuesday.

Kucka signed with the club from Trabzonspor and previously featured for Sparta Prague, Genoa and Milan.

The midfielder has featured 63 times for Slovakia, scoring seven goals, and was a member of the country's squad for the 2010 World Cup and 2016 Euros.


Chelsea looking to progress with Higuain talks


A move for the Argentinian forward would allow Chelsea to continue with other business.

Chelsea are hoping to have a deal for Gonzalo Higuain set up by the end of the week, according to the Telegraph.

Higuain is said to be ready to cut short his loan with AC Milan in favour of a move to Chelsea, where he would rejoin Maurizio Sarri.

The move would free Chelsea to move on from Alvaro Morata, who has been linked with Atletico Madrid in recent days.

Zimmerman re-signs with LAFC


Walker Zimmerman will return to Los Angeles FC, the defender announced on Twitter.

The U.S. national team defender had been linked with a move to Europe, but will return to LAFC after joining the team from FC Dallas last winter.

Zimmerman started 27 matches for the club last season, scoring four times.

Rennes sign Doumbia from Grasshoppers


Stade Rennes have signed left-back Souleyman Doumbia from Grasshoppers, the club announced.

Doumbia has signed a deal that will keep him with the French club through 2022.

The 22-year-old passed his medical on Monday and officially joined the squad Tuesday.

Sounders sign goalkeeper Muse


The Seattle Sounders have signed Indiana University goalkeeper Trey Muse, the club announced on Tuesday.

Muse signs with the club as a homegrown player and joins Stefan Frei and Bryan Meredith as goalkeepers on the team's current roster.

Widely seen as the best goalkeeping prospect in the college game, Muse becomes the club's 11th homegrown signing, joining the likes of DeAndre Yedlin and Jordan Morris.

“I couldn’t be more excited to for the opportunity and to begin my professional career with the Sounders after two terrific seasons at Indiana University,” said Muse.

“My two years in Bloomington under Head Coach Todd Yeagley and the rest of the IU staff have helped me tremendously for the next step in my journey. I can’t wait to get to Seattle to join the team and get to work for [Head] Coach [Brian] Schmetzer, Coach Dutra and learn from a couple of great veterans in Stefan Frei and Bryan Meredith.”

Mislintat to leave Arsenal


Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is leaving the club just one year after he joined from Borussia Dortmund, ESPN FC reports. 

Several months after Mislintat joined the Gunners, Raul Sanllehi was promoted to head of football, with Mislintat reporting directly to the Spaniard. 

The report states that contrary to other reports, Mislintat and Arsenal manager Unai Emery have had a productive working relationship. 

Man Utd join race for Under


The Red Devils are among a host of clubs interested in the Turkish star

Manchester United have joined the race for Roma star Cengiz Under, according to ESPN FC.

The 21-year-old Turkish international appears likely to leave in the summer, with Roma placing a €50 million (£45m/$57m) valuation on the winger. 

Arsenal, Tottenham and Bayern Munich are also interested in Under.

Simeone focused on matches, not transfer market


Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has insisted he is not concerned with his club's dealings in the January transfer market. 

Simeone's club have been linked with a move for Alvaro Morata, while defenders Lucas Hernandez (Bayern Munich) and Diego Godin (Inter) have been linked with moves away.

Rapids sign homegrown pair


The Colorado Rapids have announced the signing of forward Matt Hundley and defender Sam Raben as homegrown players.

Hundley, 18, recently completed his freshman season at UCLA, and has featured for the U.S. at the U-17 and U-19 levels. 

Raben, 21, made 91 starts for Wake Forest, tied for third most in program history.

Fulham sign £1.8m Babel from Besiktas


Fulham have announced the £1.8 million signing of Ryan Babel from Besiktas until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old Netherlands international is no stranger to the Premier League, having spent three and a half seasons with Liverpool earlier in his career.

Goulart signs with Palmeiras


Ricardo Goulart has signed with Palmeiras on loan with an option to buy.

The midfielder was previously with Guangzhou Evergrande of the Chinese Super League and joins on an initial one-season loan.

Goulart was the Chinese league's top scorer in 2016 with 19 goals and won five trophies during his stay in Asia. 

Doucoure intent on leaving Watford amid PSG interest


Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure is looking to leave the club amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

The midfielder says he is "flattered" by PSG's interest while also stressing his desire to play for a Champions League team.

Doucoure also says Italy is an option as is staying in the Premier League.

Arteta called Isco over Man City move


As his status continues to remain unclear at Real Madrid, Isco has been courted by Mikel Arteta recently, according to El Chiringuito TV.

Arteta is looking to convince Isco to join Manchester City as it becomes clear he will leave Real Madrid in the near future.

Isco has been left on the bench in recent weeks by Santiago Solari, who has preferred to play without a No. 10. 

PEC Zwolle signs Nakayama


PEC Zwolle announced the signing of Yuta Nakayama on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old defender joins the Dutch club from Kashiwa Reysol, signing a three-and-a-half year contract in the process.

Nakayama has captained Japan's Olympic team while also being votes as "Talent of the Year".

"I saw Yuta live in action after we had been on the radar for a long time," said technical director Gerard Nijkamp. "This created the image of a reliable player, who is strong at the ball and defends his man. 

"We therefore see in him a reinforcement for the long term. It is now important that Yuta acclimatizes and becomes acquainted with the club, so that he can start his adventure on Dutch soil as quickly as possible. "

Strasbourg turn down offer for Lala


Strasbourg have turned down an offer for fullback Kenny Lala, according to RMCSport.

Lala has been a standout for the club this season, earning €8 million offer from Real Betis.

However, the Ligue 1 club have turned down that offer to keep Lala, who has scored three goals and provided six assists in 18 league matches.

Crystal Palace to sign Brazilian goalkeeper


Crystal Palace are set to sign goalkeeper Lucas Perri from Sao Paulo on loan with eyes on a permanent deal, according to the Guardian.

The goalkeeper, who has Italian citizenship, will provide cover for the injured Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey initially.

Palace have competition from Fiorentina to secure the 21-year-old, who the club sees as having potential to contribute once he's bought permanently this summer. 

Bayern want Arsenal's head of recruitment


Bayern Munich are confident that they can lure Arsenal's head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, back to Germany before the end of the season, the Independent reports.

Mislintat is credited with developing Borussia Dortmund's scouting operation into one of the most sophisticated in world football and the Gunners had high hopes he could achieve the same at the Emirates.

Things have not gone to plan however, according to the report, with Mislintat's poor relationship with director of football Raul Sanllehi causing issues.

It is said that the well-respected talent-spotter has put forward several strong recommendations with the club, none of which have been followed up on, leading Bayern to swoop for his services.

Forrest to Liverpool branded 'laughable'


Talk of James Forrest being lured to Liverpool from Celtic in an £8 million ($10m) deal has been branded “laughable” by Bhoys legend John Hartson.

"I have to say that I laughed when I saw the figures quoted for James Forrest this weekend," Hartson said.

“£8m? That might get you his big toe!"

Mourinho rumours excite Liga president


La Liga president Javier Tebas has said that a return to the Spanish top flight for Jose Mourinho 'would be fantastic'.

The Portuguese trainer has been out of work since being relieved of his duties at Manchester United earlier this season.

Since then, reports have linked Mourinho with a return to the Santiago Bernabeu, a propect that excites the Liga supremo.

Bowen welcomes Spurs transfer talk


Jarrod Bowen has welcomed talk of interest from the likes of Tottenham and Leicester, but has offered no indication he is looking for a way out of Hull City.

“There is always going to be interest in every single player when you play well,” he told Sky Sports. “But I've got agents that represent me that take care of that and they didn't say anything to me.

“It is nice to see your name linked to some teams, but I am a Hull City player and as far as I'm aware it is just rumours.”

Betis want Inter's Martinez


Following the arrival of Diego Lainez, Real Betis will look to further strengthen their squad with the loan signing of 21-year-old Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, according to Diario de Sevilla.

Martinez has struggled for game time in Milan this season and could be allowed to make the temporary switch in a bid to impress Nerazzurri boss Luciano Spalletti and retain match sharpness.

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has agreed personal terms with La Liga side Valencia, but the Hammers have put a block on any possible move, according to Marca.

The former Manchester United striker is keen to return to Spain after an underwhelming spell at the London Stadium but West Ham are eager for him to stay to spearhead their charge up the Premier League table. 

Cardiff chase Samatta


Genk's Mbwana Samatta is on Cardiff's radar should they fail in their bid to land Nantes forward Emiliano Sala, report Wales Online.

The Bluebirds are yet to make a bid for the Tanzania international and Sala remains their first-choice option as they continue to seek a new striker.

Arsenal and Manchester United in for Carrasco


Arsenal and Manchester United will go head to head with AC Milan for the signature of Belgium international Yannick Carrasco, report the Daily Star.

Allardyce rules himself out of Huddersfield job


Sam Allardyce has ruled himself out of the vacant Hudderfield manager's job.

He told Talksport it was unlikely he would succeed the sacked David Wagner at the Premier League bottom club, saying: "He said: ‘As much as I like Huddersfield Town, it’s a very difficult job indeed. For me it’s got to be planning for what’s going to look like relegation.

"Planning for next season and trying to get back up to the Premier League. For me, at this stage of my life, if they made an approach I would chat with them but it’s highly unlikely."

Dusan Vlahovic will also move to Empoli on loan for the remainder of the season as part of the deal.

Yaya Toure confirmed that there has been interest from Celtic in acquiring his services.

Chelsea put £100m price tag on Hazard

Solskjaer brings back Ferguson rule at Man Utd


Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to revive Sir Alex Ferguson's rule that players must wear their official club suits to all matches, according to the Daily Mail.

The change began before the club's win over Tottenham at Wembley with Man Utd players having worn tracksuits to their win over Watford the match prior.

Solskjaer has generally brought a more relaxed approach to the club, having opted to not give the players a curfew for a recent training stint in Dubai.

Galaxy re-sign Boateng


The LA Galaxy announced on Monday that the club has re-signed Emmanuel Boateng.

Boateng joined the Galaxy in 2016 and has made 87 appearances while scoring eight goals and adding 12 assists during his stay with the club.

Prior to joining the Galaxy, the midfielder played for Helsingborgs IF in Sweden.

“We are excited that Ema will be returning to LA Galaxy,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “Ema is a talented young player who brings excitement and depth to our roster. We look forward to his continued development as a player and future contributions to our team.

Tottenham eye Malcom to cover for injured Kane


Tottenham are eyeing Barcelona's Malcom as cover for the injured Harry Kane, according to the Daily Star.

Kane could miss up to a month with an ankle injury and with Heung-min Son joining up with South Korea at the Asian Cup, Spurs are missing firepower in the attack.

Malcom as seen as a potential boost as he's struggled to acclimate to Barcelona after joining the club from Bordeaux this past summer.

Barca are said to be open to letting him move on, having offered him to Chelsea as part of a swap deal for Willian.
