    WHAT HAPPENED?

When the Hollywood star duo took over at Wrexham during the pandemic, they looked to Ker, a British actor and comedian, to guide them through the transition into becoming football aficionados and experts as they looked to lead the Welsh side through the trials of non-league football into England's professional leagues.

Speaking on the Ryan Tubridy show with Virgin Radio, the Wrexham chief said: "One of the reasons [Rob and Ryan] wanted me involved to start off with was that I was a huge football fan and a British person, and in that regard had a bit of a head start on them, in terms of what the culture of a football club might be.

"At the start, they kept saying ‘The Wrexham Red Dragons’ when they would refer to Wrexham,” the club's executive director recalled. “I had to be like: ‘Lads, we don’t do that here. It’s one or the other'."
