    Wrexham's Hollywood owners are keen to strengthen the squad after securing a place in the Championship for the 2025-26 season and are considering trying to bring in Sheffield Wednesday's cult hero Barry Bannan. The 35-year-old veteran are "monitoring developments" and could be willing to pay a "top salary" if Bannan moves on this summer, according to The Sun.

    Bannan has spent a decade at the Owls but is facing an uncertain future due to the club's financial issues. According to BBC Sport, players and staff did not receive their monthly wages on time in May. It's the second time in three months that such a scenario has unfolded and comes at a difficult time for the club.
