Revealed: The huge signing bonus Alphonso Davies is set to pocket as Canada full-back snubs Real Madrid to sign five-year Bayern Munich contract

According to reports in Germany, Davies will sign a five-year deal until 2030 with Bayern, have a fixed salary of €15 million (£13m/$16m) and €5m (£4m/$5m) in performance-based bonuses, and secure a €20m (£17m/$21m) signing on fee.

This comes after Bayern reportedly made a breakthrough to get Davies to extend his stay with the German giants, at a time when he was into the last six months of his contract. Real Madrid have been heavily linked with the left-back for some time now but it seems their bid to sign the 24-year-old this summer is over.

Canada international Davies joined Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018 and since then he has gone onto play 220 times for the club, win five Bundesliga titles and become one of the world's best left-backs.

While Davies inches closer to extending his stay at Bayern, Vincent Kompany's men travel to Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
