WHAT HAPPENED?
Real Madrid are keen to add another up-and-coming footballing talent to their ranks in Bayern Munich's 16-year-old Lennart Karl, according to Sky Sports Germany's Kerry Hau. The attacking midfielder has also attracted interest from Eredivisie giants Ajax. He has a contract until 2026 and is represented by German footballing legend Michael Ballack.

Real Madrid's transfer policy since the Eden Hazard debacle has mostly centered around signing the best young players in the world instead of splashing millions on superstars, with the exception being Jude Bellingham's €103 million (£88m/$110m) signing in 2023.
Karl, an attacking midfielder with a magical left foot, could become a star of Real Madrid's midfield for years to come should the signing go through.
DID YOU KNOW?
Karl has scored 18 goals and registered a further nine assists in just 11 appearances for Bayern Munich's U17 side in the B-Junior Bundesliga, while also scoring five times in three U17 European Championship qualifying games for Germany.
GettyWHAT NEXT FOR REAL MADRID?
Carlo Ancelotti and Co. will be desperate to get their LaLiga defence back on track following a humiliating 4-0 loss to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend. Real Madrid will face Valencia at the Mestalla on Saturday, November 2.
