Napoli are ready to go out all for Nunez this summer as they aim to strengthen their squad, according to the Corriere dello Sport. Napoli had set a deadline on the transfer and have now decided the Uruguay international is indeed worth pursuing following a meeting between club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis and Nunez's agent Fali Ramadani.
Liverpool signed Nunez for an initial £64 million ($79m) and will not let him leave on the cheap. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano offered some insight on his YouTube channel: "Napoli at the moment still want Darwin Nunez, but feel that the transfer fee is too high. Liverpool want more than €65m [£55.6m], probably in excess of €70m [£59.9m] for Darwin Nunez. At the moment, Napoli believe that the numbers of this deal are excessive, too expensive,” transfer guru Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel."
