Beckham can now claim to be the star of an award-winning production, with Emmy recognition coming his way in the Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series category. He has posted on social media after being forced to miss a glitzy ceremony in Los Angeles due to other commitments: “So this happened last night. Emmy winners WOW! Thank you to the @televisionacad for this honour and congratulations to my BECKHAM documentary team, I am so proud of each and every one of you and this award is so special for all of us.
