WHAT HAPPENED?
It is confirmed that Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Tah will be leaving BayArena as a free agent at the end of the current season. According to German publication BILD (h/t Football Espana), Bayern Munich have reignited their interest in the German international, who is also being tracked by La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
AFPTHE BIGGER PICTURE
Back in February, Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl ruled out a move for Tah after failing to agree a deal with Bayer Leverkusen last summer. However, with the 29-year-old now set to become a free agent, Bayern have renewed their interest. Talks with Tah’s camp are underway, with Die Roten eager to strike a deal this month, especially as Barcelona remain entangled in resolving potential departures from their overcrowded defensive unit.
DID YOU KNOW?
Tah isn't the only player being monitored by the Bavarians. Earlier this week, it was reported that the Bundesliga giants are keeping tabs on Borussia Mönchengladbach's Japanese centre-back Ko Itakura. Dean Huijsen, the Bournemouth sensation, is another player that head coach Vincent Kompany admires a lot.

With Eric Dier set to leave for free and join Ligue 1 heavyweights Monaco, Bayern are desperate to look for defensive reinforcements. Another player who could be on his way out of the Allianz Arena is Kim Min-jae, who doesn't want to prolong his stay in Germany. Chelsea have reportedly begun talks over a potential summer deal, with Newcastle and Juventus also interested in the South Korea international.
