Bayern Munich's injury crisis deepened significantly after their 2-2 Bundesliga draw with Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, leaving the club stretched thin ahead of a Champions League trip to Atlético Madrid on Tuesday. The result itself was frustrating enough: Bayern led twice through Konrad Laimer and Dayot Upamecano, only to be pegged back on both occasions, with Fábio Silva's 89th-minute equaliser denying them a win that would have pulled them clear at the top. Harry Kane, fresh from his Ballon d'Or celebration before kick-off, missed a penalty that could have settled the contest.

The bigger concern, though, is the mounting injury list. Ismael Saibari ruptured ankle ligaments and has already undergone surgery, ruling him out for around three months.
