If Mitchell Weiser and Ousmane Dembele ever find themselves out of work in professional football, they always have physical comedy to fall back on!
The pair were the stars of a frankly outrageous passage of play in Borussia Dortmund's clash with Hertha Berlin, won 2-1 by the side from the German capital.
After seeing the whistle blow Weiser picked up the ball and booted it downfield, appearing to take Dembele with it as the Dortmund man went down in a style befitting Willem Dafoe's demise in Platoon.
But it was Weiser who took the incident more into Three Stooges territory, launching himself in the air and writhing in pain at the slightest contact from his also prostrate rival.
Referee Hartmann, whose reaction we unfortunately do not see in the video, was not impressed, and booked both participants of this inadvertent piece of slapstick entertainment.
