Salah spotted with Liverpool kit in Egypt

The 24-year-old Roma midfielder was pictured holding the Reds' kit, suggesting that his time at the Stadio Olympico is rapidly growing short

Mohamed Salah is poised to move to Liverpool from Roma and has dropped the strongest hint yet that the transfer is just around the corner.

All the latest transfer rumours

Following training with the Egypt national team, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder was pictured with two Reds fans sporting shirts of the Anfield club. Salah himself did not have one, instead wearing the red Egypt training top.

Liverpool’s interest in Salah first appeared in May, when it became apparent that Julian Brandt was not prepared to gamble on a move to England. Roma president James Pallotta might have said there was “nothing in” reports of a €40 million move, but the latest evidence suggests otherwise.

He scored 19 goals in all competitions for Roma last term and now it seems that Liverpool will get their man, having been beaten to him by Chelsea in January 2014.
