U.S. youth international Gboly Ariyibi signs with Nottingham Forest

The U.S. Under-23 international has joined the Championship club from League One side Chesterfield.

Nottingham Forest has signed U.S. youth international Gboly Ariyibi, the Championship club announced Wednesday.

Whitecaps send Kianz Froese to Fortuna Dusseldorf

The 22-year-old joins Forest on a three-and-a-half-year deal from League One side Chesterfield.

The Arlington, Virginia, native made the jump to Europe by joining the Southampton academy as a 10-year-old in 2005. He signed a first-team contract with Leeds United in December 2013 before joining Chesterfield in August 2014.

Ariyibi has been capped by the U.S. at the Under-20 and U-23 levels.
