THE BIGGER PICTURE
Juventus are now preparing for the worst-case scenario with Motta as fans call for the Italian to be shown the door. As per L'Equipe, the Old Lady have now earmarked Xavi as their option to replace Motta next summer in the case that they do part ways with the 42-year-old.

Xavi had a climactic end to his stint with Barcelona last season after club president Joan Laporta pleaded with the Blaugrana legend not to leave his post as manager. Xavi accepted the offer, however, in a turn of events, Laporta then sacked the 45-year-old after he made comments regarding the club's financial situation.
