Wayne Rooney sees ‘offers flooding in’ as four big names battle to land Man Utd legend as pundit just weeks after being sacked by Plymouth

Rooney's coaching career has been a dismal failure so far following his retirement. The Manchester United legend has been sacked by Birmingham and most recently let go by Plymouth in December, leaving both clubs in the relegation spot before he departure. The chances of the 39-year-old returning to management any time soon seem unlikely but he could have another job lined up.

The Mirror has revealed that Amazon have eyed Rooney as their 'star pundit' for the mammoth Champions League playoff clash between Manchester City and Real Madrid. The report has suggested that Amazon Prime are also keen on establishing the Manchester United legend as a regular pundit for the Premier League broadcast this season.

The Mirror's report has also suggested that other top broadcasters have also held talks on adding Rooney to their pundits' roster this season. Rooney is also been chased by Sky Sports, BBC's Match of the Day and TNT after impressing previously while undertaking punditry work.

There has been no kind of agreement as of yet between Rooney and Amazon ahead of their Champions League broadcast on Tuesday, February 11 when they will host the crucial first-leg clash between Manchester City and Real Madrid.
