    WHAT ROBINS SAID ABOUT WRIGHT

Robins was able to see the funny side of the surprising interaction between Wright and O’Hare, with Coventry’s boss telling Sky Sports afterwards: “I think there was a bit of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ between him and Callum – I’m going to kill them! I hadn’t named a penalty taker but Haji took them all the time in Turkey. He took them all the time and was really good, so I didn’t have an issue with it. Callum scored the last one. Ultimately, it’s gone in the back of the net and we don’t have to worry about that. I’ll be talking to them about it.”

  • WHAT NEXT FOR WRIGHT?

Wright formed part of the USMNT squad at the 2022 World Cup, netting in their last-16 defeat to the Netherlands, and will be hoping to keep himself in contention for future call-ups heading towards the CONCACAF Nations League finals and Copa America in 2024.
