VIDEO: Paul 'Welshpool' Mullin! Wrexham star whips out Ryan Reynolds-inspired Deadpool mask as he celebrates scoring on return to starting XI against Salford City

Mullin was back in the starting XI and back in the goals on Tuesday night for Wrexham. The club's talisman, who has missed the start of the season through injury, opened the scoring in the team's Football League Trophy clash with Salford City. Mullin curled home a fine left-footed strike after 18 minutes to make it 1-0 and then celebrated by whipping out a Ryan Reynolds-inspired Deadpool mask.

Mullin's celebration stems from his surprise cameo as 'Welshpool' in Reynolds' latest Deadpool movie. The costume worn by the striker in the film has since gone on display at SToK Racecourse.

Mullin's return from injury will be a huge boost for Wrexham as they bid for promotion out of League One. The Welsh side currently top the table ahead of a 'Hollywood derby' against Tom Brady's big-spending Birmingham City.
