The former Chelsea, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain manager was a no-nonsense defender in his playing days, with his game more about containing the threat posed by tricky opponents than producing any kind of attacking magic himself.

Pochettino has, however, showcased in the United States’ latest training camp that he has lost none of his touch. The 52-year-old showed those at his disposal how the back of the net should be hit as he curled a remarkable strike around a mannequin and into the corner of the goal with the outside of his right boot.
