Swiss forward on target vs Servette
Luiz teed up Danilo in draw with Brest
Both traded Aston Villa for life in Turin
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Swiss forward and her Brazilian midfielder partner both completed transfers from Aston Villa to Turin during the summer window. Lehmann has bid farewell to the WSL in England, while Luiz is embracing a new challenge in Serie A.
On the women’s side, Lehmann opened her goal account for the Italian giants during a 6-1 friendly win over Swiss side Servette. The 25-year-old was all smiles after that contest, saying on social media: “I’m so happy with the win today. And of course that I’ve scored my first goal for Juventus. I’m really proud to wear this shirt!”
WHAT NEXT?
Luiz also had cause for celebration, as he helped Juventus’ men’s team to a 2-2 draw with Brest. He stepped off the bench in that fixture, before going on to tee up fellow countryman Danilo for a goal that briefly put the Bianconeri ahead before they were pegged back late on.
