As reported by Kicker, the club management of the German record champions are planning to hold extensive internal discussions in the coming days. The aim is to get a general idea of the current level of performance and to talk to the sporting directors and coach Vincent Kompany.
After a strong start to the season, Bayern have recently slowed down under Kompany. Although they are still eight points ahead of their pursuers Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table and also advanced to the last 16 of the Champions League, their performance in attacking play was particularly poor.
Since beating Hoffenheim 5-0 in the first game of the calendar year, there have only been two matches in which Bayern have scored more than one goal – a 3-1 win in the Champions League against Slovan Bratislava and a 3-0 win in the Bundesliga against Werder Bremen.
