    THE BIGGER PICTURE

That agreement brought a productive on-field partnership between Kane and Son to a close – with the pair boasting a history-making haul of goal combinations in the Premier League, having snatched that record from Chelsea icons Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.

  • WHAT SON SAID ABOUT KANE

Son is now leading from the front at Spurs, after taking the captain’s armband for 2023-24, and has told TNT Sports of no longer having a trusted ally by his side: “Me and H, we had something different. A connection together, nearly 10 years together. Playing in almost the same position, we knew where we are. We were demanding very, very much. It was a very special connection. It was a huge honour playing with him. For me, he's one of the best in the world. He left, which was really sad for me, but it was a good move for him. Now he's at Bayern scoring over 30 goals, and I hope he can score more goals.”

    WHAT NEXT FOR KANE?

Kane is in danger of missing out of major honours again during his debut campaign at Bayern, despite hitting 39 goals on a personal level. The Champions League remains the final trophy up for grabs to them, while Spurs are in the process of trying to wrap up a top-four finish in the Premier League.
