  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Weah's performance against Parma further strengthened his case to be the starting left winger under manager Thiago Motta, which could mean that Turkish wonderkid Kenan Yildiz could fall down the pecking order. The 19-year-old winger has scored just two league goals in 10 appearances, while Weah has been more prolific with three goals in six league outings. Touted as the next big Juve star, Yildiz has his work cut out against the in-form American.

  • WHAT THIAGO MOTTA SAID

Speaking to reporters after the game against Parma, Motta said (h/t Calciomercato): "Weah did well and scored both at San Siro and today, I see Yildiz very suitable to open up the field in situations like today's. He adds quality, he has the freedom to conclude the action with the final pass or shot."

    WHAT NEXT FOR JUVENTUS?

Juventus travel to Udinese on Saturday, November 2, before taking on Lille in the Champions League next week. Motta's side are yet to face defeat in Serie A, but they have collected just 18 points from 10 games (four wins, six draws) to find themselves in fourth position.
