The Red Dragons are, however, much more than a couple of familiar faces in the boardroom, with Dobson telling The Leader of why success has been enjoyed on the field: “The thing that’s got the club success is the ability to be consistent and have that grittiness to churn out results. The club in the last three-and-a-half years has been used to winning a lot of football matches and you don’t just do that by having the glitz and glamour.
“You’ve got to have that desire and grittiness to be able to churn out results on the cold nights and on the tough pitches to still be able to win games. The club's doing it at the minute and we’ve just got to try and continue to do that.
“We’ve got loads of games coming up and a lot of tough games. When you’ve got so many games in a short space of time, you’ve just got to keep churning them out and keep focusing on each game as they come. If we can do that and obviously then get into the transfer window carrying on as we are, we’ll be confident as a group that we won’t be far away.”
