While Amorim disagrees with Ten Hag’s focus on silverware as a marker of success, he aligns with former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s philosophy, who believed that consistent improvement would naturally lead to winning trophies in the future.

Amorim made it clear that his vision for United is to focus on steady improvement with the ultimate aim of winning the Premier League. Speaking after the match, he told reporters, "We cannot think in that way of if we are winning silverware we are OK. No, it will be a long wait. We are improving as a team. Our goal is to win the Premier League, how long it will take? I don’t know but that is our goal."
