    THE BIGGER PICTURE

According to The Mirror, the Kanes have taken up residence at a lavish mansion above the River Isar that boasts a spa, sundeck and sprawling garden that sits on the edge of a forest. The house has previously been occupied by former Bayern stars Mehmet Scholl and Lucas Hernandez.

It has also been revealed that the dwelling provided the backdrop for a 2014 German romantic comedy starring Matthias Schweighofer – who recently appeared in the Christopher Nolan Hollywood blockbuster Oppenheimer. The film in question – which was called Vaterfreuden, or Joy of Fatherhood – features a sperm donor who suffers an accidental vasectomy from a ferret, leading to him tracking down the mother of his only child.

He was very polite and I wanted to make him feel welcome here.”
