Real Madrid make decision on Brahim Diaz future amid ongoing AC Milan interest

Carlo Ancelotti is extremely happy with the performances of Brahim Diaz at Real Madrid and the club are absolutely adamant that the dynamic attacking midfielder is not for sale amid AC Milan's interest, according to a report from Marca.

Brahim spent three seasons on loan at Milan between 2020 and 2023, before returning to the Spanish capital.

It's not just Ancelotti, though, who has been impressed by Brahim. Everyone at the club, including president Florentino Perez, admire the professionalism and dedication shown by the Morocco international, despite the fact that he's not a starter.

Madrid showed faith in Brahim after recalling him ahead of the 2023-24 season, and he repaid that faith with interest by coming up with some sublime performances, most of them from the bench. The former Man City prodigy featured in 44 games in all competitions and bagged 12 goals and nine assists to help Madrid clinch the LaLiga and Champions League double.

With the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, Brahim saw his role being diminished at the start of the season and a hamstring injury he suffered in mid-September saw him stay on the sidelines for over a month.

Brahim has been a man on a mission since switching his allegiance from Spain to Morocco. He scored five goals for Morocco in two games in the recent international break, including a hat-trick. The 25-year-old is determined to earn a place in the starting XI under Ancelotti.

At Valdebebas, everyone within the coaching staff is convinced that Brahim can make a real difference as a member of the XI for the remainder of the season, with Real Madrid struggling in both LaLiga and the Champions League.

Last week, it was reported that AC Milan wanted to bring Brahim back to the club amid his struggle to find minutes in the Spanish capital. However, Real Madrid have closed the doors to an exit. Brahim's contract with Madrid expires in June 2027, and although the club is in no rush to offer a renewal, they absolutely believe he has a long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Brahim will be aiming to have a crack at the starting XI in Real Madrid's upcoming fixture, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 24, against Leganes.
