  • WHAT ROCCOS ELEVEN SAID

Ronaldo’s latest post saw him “face off” with Mr Beast – the king of YouTube with over 335m subscribers to his name. Chasing down top spot on that chart will be tricky for CR7, with EA FC streamer Roccos Eleven telling CSDB.gg: “Cristiano Ronaldo has a family so it’s going to be very hard to top Mr Beast in terms of the time and effort he can put into his channel. He still has to do a lot of travelling and it looks like he won’t be retiring just yet, in about five years he might put all his effort into becoming even bigger than Mr Beast because he will probably need to do it full-time!”

    THE GOSSIP

While Ronaldo has other commitments at present, as he remains a talismanic presence for Portugal and Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, he has been told how to generate unimaginable levels of excitement online with the help of EA Sports. Roccos Eleven added: “Cristiano Ronaldo opening packs on videos would be huge, especially for us as content creators in the scene. If he did it like around Team of the Year time it would be unbelievable.

“The biggest video you can imagine would be of his reaction to packing Lionel Messi, it could break the internet. Speed has started doing pack videos and he has over 33 million subscribers, he knows that there is such a huge audience for it.

“If Ronaldo did those videos it would be the pinnacle, packing Messi even more so. Even though it is a small area of EA Sports FC, there is a really wide audience for it even if viewers are not invested in the game. Even football fans with a casual interest like to see what players are ranked. You even get people that don’t watch football at all but will play the game.”

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Fans around the world are hoping to see Ronaldo invite eternal rival Messi onto his channel for a chat at some stage, with Roccos Eleven of the opinion that the all-time great can achieve anything that he puts his mind to. He added: “It was funny to see Mr Beast almost advising Cristiano Ronaldo on how to grow his channel during their video, talking about thumbnails and guests he might get. Ronaldo can probably get any guest he wants and what was interesting was the title that Ronaldo used for the interview, one that was perfect for the YouTube algorithm.

“I think a lot of people expected that his videos wouldn’t be polished to start with but it’s been the opposite. The editing was really good. He’s gone straight in at the deep end and his core audience is only going to grow.”

    WHAT NEXT?

Ronaldo has given no indication that he will be giving up his day job any time soon, with the evergreen frontman still going strong at the age of 39. He is, however, always open to exploring business interests away from the field and can expect his social media following to grown even further.
