  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The £700,000 Rolls-Royce had to be towed off the M60 motorway after it appeared the tyre had blown out. It is not certain who was driving at the time of the incident but this is not the first incident Rashford has had with his car. The forward was reportedly left shaken after crashing a different car of the same make whilst playing for Manchester United in September 2023.

    WHAT A SOURCE SAID

The incident, reported by the Sun, has suggested Rashford's luck with Rolls-Royce's is not the best. A source told the Sun: "The first one was written off and then the second one breaks down.

“He’ll be questioning the £1.4million he’s splashed out on two identical cars.

“Let’s hope he has more luck on the pitch.”

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Another incident with his car is not what Rashford would have wanted amid his return to the England team. The forward is enjoying a brief resurgence under Unai Emery on loan at Aston Villa and has broken back into the international setup. He started the Three Lions' last game, a 2-0 victory over Albania, and Thomas Tuchel could offer him yet another chance in the starting eleven with Anthony Gordon withdrawing from the squad with a hip injury.

    WHAT NEXT FOR RASHFORD?

England take on Latvia on Monday night as they look to strengthen their early grip on World Cup qualification. Rashford will be eager to impress Tuchel and stamp his mark on the left-wing spot.
