Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing to make a bid for £60 million-rated Brighton star Bart Verbruggen as they look for a successor to Manuel Neuer.
The Telegraph reports that the German giants are readying a bid for the 22-year-old, who is valued at £60m ($78m) by Brighton. The report adds the Seagulls are set to make a huge profit on the £16m ($21m) they paid Anderlecht to recruit the Dutch goalkeeper back in 2023.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Bayern have been looking for the next Neuer, so to speak, with the German international turning 40 next year. His contract expires in 2026 and with the veteran currently out with a torn muscle, the Bundesliga leaders are preparing for life after the legendary keeper. And it seems Verbruggen is their top target.

Verbruggen, whose contract at Brighton runs until 2028, has made 57 appearances for the Sussex outfit so far, keeping 14 clean sheets in the process.
