  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Manchester United are uncertain about Garnacho's future as the Argentine winger's performances have been very bizarrely inconsistent throughout the last few years. Napoli are said to be interested in signing the winger and have made their first offer to buy Garnacho this month worth £40 million ($48.7m).

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Manchester Evening News have now reported that the Red Devils have rejected Napoli's bid for Garnacho as they believe that the Argentine winger is worth more than Napoli's valuation. The 20-time Premier League champions estimate Garnacho at €97.4m (£82.27m) as per CIES Football Observatory.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Napoli coach Antonio Conte wants Garnacho to take Paris Saint-Germain-bound Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's place but according to Italian reports, United values the winger too highly, and Gli Azzurri have given up on signing Garnacho. The 2023 Italian champions favour hiring players that could have a high market value.

    WHAT NEXT FOR GARNACHO?

Despite being close to an exit from Manchester United, Garnacho is still high up in Ruben Amorim's plans and will likely remain at Old Trafford over the current season. United are in action next when they take on Brighton on Sunday, January 19.
