    Football's GOAT was beaming from ear-to-ear when he hooked up with his namesake in Miami. In their brief meeting, Messi confirmed his mother was a huge fan of the former Commodores front-man, and that he was named after Richie.

    The 'Dancing On The Ceiling' and 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' singer had wanted to say 'Hello' to the Argentinian superstar for many years. In 2014, Richie said: "Us meeting is going to happen. They named him after me, how about that? I love it."
