Kobbie Mainoo off to Bayern Munich? Man Utd star wanted by German giants amid stand-off with Red Devils over £200,000 per week wage demands

Per The Sun, Bayern are interested in signing Mainoo from United this month. The midfielder's future at Old Trafford is up in the air, as he is hoping to earn a new contract worth £200,000-per-week, a huge upgrade on his current £20,000-per-week deal. Mainoo would represent pure PSR profit for the Red Devils, as he is an academy product, and Chelsea are currently reported to be leading the race.

Bayern are said to be long-term admirers of Mainoo, who has won 10 England caps and made 53 senior appearances for the club. His contract runs until 2027. United are currently unwilling to match the midfielder's demands, throwing his future into doubt. United manager Ruben Amorim has already demanded more from him.

Bayern are top of the Bundesliga at present while United are 13th in the Premier League. A move to Munich would see him link up with both Harry Kane and Eric Dier.

United play Southampton on Thursday, while Bayern are next in action on Wednesday against Hoffenheim.
