Kate Scott's husband Malik savagely mocks Jamie Carragher for 'loyal' dig with hilarious hoodie during CBS Sports’ Champions League broadcast before pair finally bury hatchet

Liverpool legend Carragher courted controversy last season when making an ill-advised “loyalty” joke at Scott’s expense. He awkwardly suggested that the CBS presenter was “not loyal to Malik”, leading to the ex-England international being given a dressing down by unimpressed bosses.

American Boxing trainer Malik responded to the jibe at the time by saying: “It was a very minute thing, but her being irritated by it a little bit is what really got to me. Him just saying it and being that guy who always makes those picking at you jokes wasn't really a big deal to me at all. It's only a big deal if Kate is upset.

“If Kate gets upset then it's a really big deal to me and I'll give him a call and if he doesn't pick up my call, then I'll show up in a physical manner so we can talk like men, so that's not something you should continue to do. But I think Jamie apologised, not just to Kate but to the team, and one thing you can't do is knock a man who admits he was wrong. In that regard I have high respect for him.”

Any hatchet does appear to have been buried, with Malik joining Kate and the CBS crew at Santiago Bernabeu for their coverage of Real Madrid’s stunning win over Premier League giants Manchester City – with World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe netting a hat-trick in said contest.

Prior to the game, Malik was introduced alongside Carragher, Thierry Henry and Micah Richards. Ex-City defender Richards said, while looking at Carragher: “Is everything okay between you two, everything good? Everything cool? You sure?”

Kate Scott responded with: “(He's) team CBS tonight, you're supporting the crew. Do you want to show everyone your hoodie?” Malik replied with “absolutely”, before revealing that he was wearing a jumper sporting the names of the CBS crew, with ‘Jamie’ being crossed out.

Kate and Malik tied the knot in September 2024 during an intimate wedding ceremony in Malibu. Vows were exchanged by the pair just nine months after their relationship was made public, with the Scott’s now enjoying married life.
