Jordan Henderson forced to pose for extremely awkward photo after Ajax beaten to Eredivisie title by PSV on final day following disastrous late-season collapse
Ajax midfielder Jordan Henderson wasn't too happy in front of the cameras after his team were pipped to the title on the final day of the season.
Henderson looked set to land the Eredivisie title with Ajax until a disastrous late season-collapse saw the Dutch side pipped to top spot on the final day of the season by PSV. Ajax did win their last game - with Henderson scoring - but it wasn't enough to deny PSV glory. To add insult to injury, a stony-faced Henderson was then forced to pose with his Player of the Match trophy and, perhaps unsurprisingly, couldn't muster a smile for the cameras.
Ajax led the Eredivisie by nine points on April 19. Just four games later, they trailed PSV by a point. This is the biggest collapse any of Europe's biggest leagues has ever witnessed, per Opta.
