Jonathan David tells his agent to get Juventus deal done after reaching contract agreement with Serie A side

Canadian striker David agreed on a salary of €6 million (£5m/$7m) plus bonuses and must now sort out his agent's commission, according to Gazetta dello Sport.

Juventus received a €7 million (£6m/$8m) boost thanks to their Club World Cup participation. This money should aid their pursuit of David. who is a free agent after running his contract down with Lille.

David is coming off the back of an impressive season with Lille in which he scored 25 goals in all competitions. Juve are eager to sign him as they are expected to sell Dusan Vlahovic this summer due to his refusal to sign a new contract.

Juventus president Damien Comolli would be hoping to get the deal over the line as quickly as possible to reinforce their attacking department. For David, it would be a step up for his career moving from Lille to a giant club like Juventus, and he hopes he will be able to recreate his form.
