Inter get massive boost as trio of key players set to face Lazio as Serie A title battle with Napoli goes right to the wire

La Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, reports that Simone Inzaghi will be able to count on Benjamin Pavard, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Davide Frattesi, all of whom were unavailable for Inter's last game against Torino.

Pavard was stretchered off during Inter's 1-0 loss to Roma at San Siro, while Mkhitaryan and Frattesi were unavailable for the 2-0 win over Torino last time out, despite featuring in the dramatic Champions League semi-final win over Barcelona. World Cup winner Pavard adds experience to the defence and his return is a timely one, given the need for Inter to mantain focus in their charge for two trophies. Mkhitaryan, meanwhile, provides industry and creativity in midfield that should prove invaluable, and Frattesi offers a goal threat from deeper positions.

Inter are the only team in Italy to win the treble, achieving the feat under Jose Mourinho in the 2009-10 season. For Inzaghi, it's the double in his sights, with the Nerazzurri capable of delivering a memorable end to the season for their fans.

Inter host Inzaghi's old club, Lazio, at San Siro on May 18, with the Nerazzurri currently a point behind league leaders Napoli. Indeed, all three points would set-up a thrilling final day in the competition, regardless of how Antonio Conte's side get on in their game against Parma this weekend. It's then onto the Champions League final for Inter, where they'll face PSG in Munich on May 31.
