'Most importantly' - Harry Kane fires bullish message after hauling Bayern Munich to victory over Wolfsburg in Bundesliga opener

The England striker provided the all-important assist for Serge Gnabry's third goal in the 82nd minute as Bayern Munich kicked off the 2024-25 Bundesliga campaign with a 3-2 win in a closely fought encounter against Wolfsburg on Sunday.

Vincent Kompamy's side endured some nervy moments in the game as Wolfsburg, at one point, came back from behind to take the lead. Jakub Kaminski's own goal, however, restored parity for the Bavarian club before Kane and Gnabry combined to hand them crucial three points.

After the match, the striker took to Instagram to share some photographs from the match as he wrote in the caption, "Up and down game but most importantly we came out on top! Lots to work on but can’t ask for more than starting the season with a win."

The 31-year-old will be back in action on September 1 as the German giants take on Freiburg in an important Bundesliga clash.
