Despite Roma’s 1-0 win over Lecce, *La Gazzetta dello Sport* reports rumours that Gian Piero Gasperini was rather on edge at the end of the match, and then failed to appear before the TV cameras or at the press conference. A deafening silence, officially explained by the club as the manager being unwell and having lost his voice. “But in the dressing room, the volume actually went up,” the newspaper reports. It may have been the pressure of recent days, almost certainly combined with Friday’s post-elimination (by Bologna) meeting in the Europa League at Trigoria with the Friedkins, senior advisor Claudio Ranieri and sporting director Ricky Massara: the fact remains that the Roma manager chose not to speak.
