Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter emerges as 'serious contender' to take over from Enzo Maresca at Leicester

Potter has been linked with the Foxes job since Maresca departed the club to replace Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea. And Fabrizio Romano says the Championship winners have opened talks with the Englishman as they look for a new manager to lead them into their first season back in the Premier League.

Former Brighton and Swansea manager Potter is a strong candidate for the Foxes and has been linked with Premier League clubs since he was sacked by Chelsea in April last year. However, he is not the only option Leicester are considering as a possible Maresca replacement.

The King Power Stadium club have reportedly also held talks with ex-Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while an ambitious approach for Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic has also been hinted at amid reports the German is not entirely happy at his current club.

Potter could be on his way back to the Premier League if Leicester settle on him as their preferred option to take over as head coach this summer.
