Erling Haaland TROLLED by Sweden's social media account after losing war of Scandinavian strikers to Viktor Gyokeres

Gyokeres announced himself on the European stage with a sensational hat-trick against City, but Haaland sank into darkness after a miserable night in Lisbon as Pep Guardiola's men suffered a third successive defeat for the first time since April 2018.

Although Haaland has 17 goals for club and country this season, the Norwegian talisman has blown and cold, which has damaged his returns per his lofty standards. However, Gyokeres has terrorised defence across Portugal and in Europe and already boasts of having 25 goals this term, including the three he grabbed on Tuesday evening. In fact, there have been only two matches where he has failed to find the net.

Before the match, the official account of the Champions League drummed up the battle between the two strikers and tweeted their scoring record in this campaign. And after Gyokeres bagged his hat-trick, Svensk Fotboll quoted the tweet and wrote the updated tallies to hail the new force of Scandinavian football.

Haaland will look to forget the evening in Lisbon as quickly as possible, as games keep coming thick and fast with Brighton to play next in the Premier League on Saturday.
