Dusan Vlahovic set for a season on the sidelines as Juventus striker refuses all offers despite Serie A club's desperation to sell

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Vlahovic has told the management he will not give up the €12 million net (£10m/$14m) salary he will earn in the final year of his contract and could end up staying at the club for another year despite their desire to sell him this summer. Vlahovic has received offers from Fenerbahce, Saudi Arabian clubs and AC Milan.

Juventus are planning a major overhaul of their attack this season and aim to raise funds by selling Vlahovic. The Serbian striker, signed from Fiorentina in 2022 for €75m (£63m/$87m) on a four-year contract until 2026, is no longer part of the club’s long-term plans, with no contract extension on offer. After an underwhelming spell in Turin, coupled with his €12m net salary weighing heavily on the balance sheet, Juventus are prepared to accept offers in the region of €20m (£17m/$23m) to help finance a move for Randal Kolo Muani, Tudor’s main attacking target. Former Juventus boss and current Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has made efforts to lure Vlahovic to San Siro, but negotiations have stalled. Consequently, Milan have turned their attention to pursuing a loan deal for Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund.

Juventus are also trying to get reinforcements in defence as they are aiming to sell Lloyd Kelly, six months after signing him, to raise funds for reinvestment. 

Juventus will be hoping Vlahovic reconsiders and accepts an offer, providing the club with much needed funds. The striker now faces a crucial choice between prioritising his lucrative contract or safeguarding his career, as spending a year out of competitive football could seriously affect his future.
