'He has me dribbling every day!' - Harry Maguire claims Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim is testing his skills as winger even if £80m defender 'doesn't want to be going up front'

Maguire has proven to be a potent attacking force for Manchester United in the Europa League this season. He scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner to secure an incredible comeback win over Lyon in the quarter-finals and then popped up with an assist in the semi-final victory over Athletic Club with some skilful wing play.

The centre-back will now be hoping he can help Manchester United end a dismal season with the Europa League trophy which will also secure a place in next season's Champions League. Maguire addressed the press before the final against Tottenham and says he is ready to play up front if needed but hopes he will spend the match in his usual defensive role if head coach Ruben Amorim allows.

He told reporters: "The manager has me dribbling every day in training up and down the wing! Listen, I found myself on the wing against Bilbao and managed to put a good cross in and Casemiro scored the goal. I've played up front in the later minutes of games. Tomorrow night hopefully I'm not going up front. I don't wanna be going up front chasing a game, I want to be defending a lead from my position in defence. I'm always there to help, I'm always there to do my best, but like I said I'm more than happy playing in my favoured position."

Manchester United have been boosted ahead of the game by the return to fitness of Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro and Diogo Dalot for the game at San Mames as the Red Devils aim to beat fellow Premier League strugglers Spurs and salvage what's been a dismal campaign.
