Denzel Dumfries at a crossroads amid lack of Premier League offers while Inter issue contract extension ultimatum

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dumfries, who had seemed likely to shift to the Premier League, could be set to remain with the Nerrazurri. The Dutch full-back has not received any offers from England and therefore he could be open to renewing with the Serie A champions.

Dumfries' current contract with Inter runs out in 2025 and rejected the club's offer to extend his deal last year. Inter have started tightening the screw on the Dutch international to sign a new deal or be sold this summer to avoid losing him for free next year. The San Siro outfit want the situation to be resolved by the start of the upcoming transfer window.

The 28-year has reportedly received interest from only two Premier League clubs: Manchester United and Chelsea. However, no concrete offers have been made as of yet and the Rotterdam-born defender has only invited inquiries from some 'mid-range foreign clubs'.

The full-back will now have to decide whether to renew with Inter immediately or wait to see if he receives offers from the Premier League. However, he will have to do so quickly as the Nerrazurri could place him on the transfer list if he does not sign the new contract.
