    England have managed to collect four points from their first two Euro 2024 matches and are on the verge of booking a berth in the knockout stage, however, their performances against Serbia and Denmark have come under scrutiny as they have failed to impress the fans.

    Gunners star Rice has now opened up about the underwhelming start to their Euro 2024 campaign as he claimed that pressure to win the trophy has affected the players. He went on to claim that every single member of the squad is desperate to end the nation's 58-year-long trophy drought which in turn has hurt the team.

  • WHAT DECLAN RICE SAID

    Speaking to reporters, the midfielder said, "I think we are all so desperate to do the country proud. We are all so desperate to win, to be leaders, to go out there and give people memories for lifetimes.

    "Sometimes I maybe feel like we put too much pressure on ourselves where we could just go out there and let it just take care of itself. I think there is probably more pressure now from the outside just because of the seasons some of our players have had."

    He added, "If you look at the goals that our front four [Kane, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden] have scored this year, it’s over a hundred between them."
