Chelsea open talks to sign USMNT defender Caleb Wiley from MLS side Atlanta United

Chelsea are in talks to sign Caleb Wiley from Atlanta United as they continue to reshape their squad this summer.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Per The Athletic, Chelsea have opened talks with Atlanta over a deal to sign Wiley and negotiations are moving towards completion. He has played 81 times for the MLS club and has been capped twice by the USMNT.

It is unclear if the 19-year-old would be a signing for the first-team as the report claims he could potentially be loaned to Strasbourg, who share an owner with the Blues. The teenager has a contract with Atlanta until 2025.
